These terms govern use of the InsuranceCostCity embeddable insurance calculator widget. Two tiers are currently offered: a free tier that includes InsuranceCostCity attribution, and a Pro tier that allows attribution to be removed for a monthly fee. Both tiers are subject to these terms.
The widget is an iframe-style embed that displays one or more InsuranceCostCity calculators on your site. The user interacts with the calculator on your page, and the underlying logic and data are served by InsuranceCostCity.
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to embed the free widget on websites you operate, subject to the following:
• The InsuranceCostCity attribution link must remain visible. Do not hide, obscure, or remove the attribution
• Do not modify the iframe content or styling in ways that misrepresent the source
• Do not commercially resell the widget itself or present it as your own product
Pro subscribers may remove the visible InsuranceCostCity attribution and apply white-label customizations as described on the Widgets page. The license is conditioned on:
• An active, paid Pro subscription
• Compliance with the Acceptable Use section below
• Compliance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy for billing terms
If your Pro subscription lapses or is canceled, the widget reverts to free-tier behavior, including required attribution.
Whether you are using the free or Pro tier, you agree not to:
• Scrape, copy, or store widget output programmatically to recreate the underlying dataset
• Present widget outputs as binding quotes, guaranteed rates, or specific carrier offers
• Use the widget to imply that you, your site, or InsuranceCostCity is selling, recommending, underwriting, binding, or brokering insurance
• Use the widget on sites that promote unlawful activity, hate, harassment, or fraud
• Modify the iframe in a way that materially distorts the meaning of the output (for example, relabeling estimates as quotes)
• Use the widget in a way that infringes any third-party right
Widget calculator outputs are modeled estimates based on average data and general assumptions. They are not insurance quotes and they are not binding offers. They do not establish an insurance-agent or insurance-broker relationship between InsuranceCostCity and the visitor. You must not represent widget output as a quote or guarantee to your visitors.
InsuranceCostCity is not an insurance company, broker, agent, carrier, underwriter, or licensed advisor. The widget does not sell insurance, bind coverage, or transmit applications to a carrier. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.
• Use the embed code provided on the Widgets page
• Do not wrap the iframe in code that hides the source page from the visitor
• Do not run the widget through a translation or proxy layer that materially changes the displayed values
• Pro subscribers may apply approved color and branding overrides as documented at the time of signup
We aim to keep the widget available and accurate, but we do not provide a formal service-level agreement, uptime guarantee, or guaranteed response time on the free tier. Pro subscribers receive priority support; specific response-time commitments, if any, will be communicated at signup. The underlying data and methodology can change as described in our Data Methodology.
"API access" referenced in Pro tier marketing is a future or limited-availability feature unless explicitly confirmed at signup. Do not depend on it for business-critical workflows without written confirmation from us.
We may terminate or suspend access to the widget if these terms are violated, if there is reasonable evidence of misuse, or if continued availability is no longer feasible. Where reasonable, we will provide notice before terminating Pro access for non-payment or other administrative reasons.
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the widget after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
